A conference by the members of the League of Nations, the US and the Soviet Union in Geneva in 1932-33, also often called the World Disarmament Conference. Its purpose was to reduce the increasing armaments at the time.
Significance/Results:
The conference was not succesful because countries such as France and the United Kingdom insisted in the need of their armament and were not willing to disarm totally. Consequenctly, Germany withdrew from the conference in 1933. Therefore it was obvious that the conference would not have any positive effect on Europe. It is another example that shows that peace keeping failed during that time due to mistrust of the countries.
