One of Hitler's legal method is the creation of law Against the Establishment of Parties in which no other party was to be established besides NSDAP
He became the Chancellor of Germany in 1933 January.
The creation of a policy: Gleichschaltung
2) Explain how this helped Hitler consolidate or maintain his power (think the legs of the stools!)
This would fall under the "fear" stool
Hitler created his own private police to enforce these laws, whoever tries to start a party would be thrown in jail, whoever goes against the policies in the Gleichschaltung will be punished
He turned children against their parents, neighbors against friends, so everyone was living in fear, and there were no opposition parties to fix the problem because of the 'Law Against the Establishment of Parties'
