The Little Entente was an alliance formed in 1920 and 1921 by Czechoslovakia, Romania and Yugoslavia with the purpose of common defense against Hungarianrevision and the prevention of a Habsburg restoration. SIGNIFICANCE
This was France's attempt to gain allies and create a stronger power after World War I. Originally, France sought Germany as an ally to join this treaty for defence; however, Germany grew to become stronger by itself which didn't need French as the ally.
