The Young Plan had its intensions as a settlement of Germany’s reparations debts after WWI and was written in 1929 but not until 1930 was in fully taking action. The Young Plan was formed and presented by the committee lead by the an America Owen D. Young. The Young Plan originally had the intensions of helping Germany pay it’s owed debts to the other allied nations. After the Dawes Plan in 1924, Germany couldn’t keep up to the payments that were enforced; therefore the Young Plan reduced the payments from then on to 112 billion gold marks (Equivalent to 8 billion USD in 1929) to be paid off over a 59 year time span.
successful or failure as peacekeeping?
Clearly looking from today the breakout of WW2, this Young Plan was successful at peacekeeping for the first 10 years, however after Germany found gaps and mistakes within the Young Plan and the idea of peacekeeping, war broke out. Therefore it is clearly proven that it was not successful at peacekeeping.
